Artist's Comments

That no one ever knows.

I'm not entirely sure what to say about this, it came to me one day while trying to force artwork to appear on paper and slowly turned into a finished picture. It's for *iProxy's contest under the category of dreams. It's not so much dream-like as it is a scene/story I randomly came up with. Either way I hope you all enjoy it. I may go back and alter the colors a bit, but nothing drastic.

and no, I didn't forget about the swirly's on her arms..I just don't think they'd show up at that angle.

The Quiet Things by =Sepiaa "This picture is a fantastic blend of detail and style! Looking it over you find things like the gears, fading up into darkness (and yielding no hint where they truly are) to the hungry, menacing, and slightly inquisitive looks on the rat's faces, accentuated by the golden gears blazing in their eyes. The figure in the center of the composition holds that interesting little rat with the clock while she has a colder, and commanding look in her gaze. The colors are well balanced and you know it's Sepiaa's image with her signature fur style, jazzy poses, and that smooth, smooth shading." (Suggested by =Zethelius and Featured by ^Katmomma)

wow, sep, how ever did you do this?! did you make the rats' eyes from scratch? (if it's the second texture, i can't see it)
:iconsepiaa:
I shaded the eye with a gold color, drew my own gears on it, then put a texture over top. I forget what texture I used though D:

Thankyou.

What interesting idea with hours and rats * ______*. Emotions and colours are transferred simply ideally. Very beautifully left, especially character and these two rats. Such artful. Very very beautifully. How many you drew this drawing?
